+_diphtOscan_ is a tool to screen genome assemblies of _Corynebacterium diphtheriae_ and the _Corynebacterium diphtheriae_ species complex (Cdc) for:
+* MLST sequence type
+* species (e.g. K. pneumoniae, K. quasipneumoniae, K. variicola, etc.)
+* virulence factors
+* antimicrobial resistance determinants: acquired genes and SNPs
+* typing _tox_ gene
